up rather early, lunch, winefest, farmer's market, hooters, gators and beefs

Quite the long day. Started out early, about 8am got up messed on the computer and then about 10:30 I put the boston butt pork roast into he oven. Got a call from Becky about possibly being here a bit early since she was running faster than expected, wow, OK.

About the time I was ready to move the roast over into the crock pot Becky arrived and we took off for lunch and the Decatur Winefest just after I finished cranking up the crock, placing the roast inside and dumping a Smuttynose Old Brown Dog Ale over it.

Becca treated me to a lunch at the Carpe Diem Bistro, she had the turkey? pita and I had the Salmon Ciabatta
grilled salmon filet with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions and sun-dried tomato mayonnaise. After the yummy lunch we headed over to the winefest, walked actually.

The line was slower than I though it should be, the selections of wines was much more than I could have even managed, Becky though new most of them by name, she is more of a wine person the same as I'm more of a Beer guy. Did have a few I liked although both of us only had about 6-8 "samples" over the course of the next 3 hours. About 4pm we decided to finish up with the winefest and head over to the Dekalb Farmer's Market, but before we stopped in at a place called Twain's Billards and Tap a really nice pool hall and brew pub.

It was the first time I've been to the Farmer's Market and the place was PACKED, actually it was beyond that. Wall to Wall carts people almost crashing into one another all over the place. I got some more beers, a 4 pack of High Gravity Flying Dog beers and a Dogfish Head Midas Touch 4-pack as well. Then a African beer, Tusker or something like that.

Came home and less than 30 minutes later JamesR called about doing a little praying at Church (Hooters). Got to see BritneyN, had a nice (GREAT) time and ended up buying the zippered hoodie I've had my eye on. The Gators started playing just before we arrived back at Hooters, didn't really watch it but I did keep my eye on the score and the Gators never lost the lead, final was 27-3 Vandy didn't have a chance.

Quickly stopped in at Beefs just around ten and was able to say Hi! to JaimeB, I'll have to stop in on Monday to say hello as well.
